Our ideals
|
First and foremost, Alpha Phi is built on the belief of protection for its members. That is why we have always been a non-hazing organization. We believe that every member should refrain from any behavior that seems like hazing. We also have a policy of Watchcare that serves to watch and protect the sisters. This can mean either at an event or in life itself.
Because Alpha Phi is an international organization, it expects that the members observe certain behaviors. The basic rule that we are all expected to follow is to recognize the humanity and dignity of all people. We expect that our members will help those in need, and that we will not discriminate for any reason.

When Alpha Phi first approached the subject of philanthropy in 1894, the members decided to contribute to their own charities. However, in 1946, cardiac care was instituted as Alpha Phi's primary concern. In 1957, Alpha Phi started the Alpha Phi Foundation, which has since contributed much time and money to cardiac care.
